Advising Tools

  • Meet at least once a semester with an Academic Adviser!

    Your Chief Major Adviser and the Arts & Sciences Advising Center staff can help you understand, plan and assess your progress toward your degree. The following tools will also help you.

  • Undergraduate Bulletin
    The Undergraduate Bulletin contains the specific curricular information and requirements for a specific year including course descriptions and academic policies. Know what year’s bulletin you are following for the most accurate understanding of your degree requirements.
  • MyPLAN
    The MyPLAN tab in Blackboard connects you with your instructors and advisers as well as other campus resources like Career Services. Use MyPLAN to schedule appointments on-line.
  • MyRED
    MyRED is UNL's student information system portal. Use MyYou can use MyRed to manage your course schedule and grading options, monitor student accounts and holds and view your unofficial transcript.
  • Degree Audit
    Use your Degree Audit in conjunction with the Undergraduate Bulletin and regular meetings with your Academic Adviser to assess your progress toward a UNL degree including general education, major and minor requirements. Select the “Records” tab in MyRED to access your Degree Audit.
