Why you chose your major

I chose political science because I'm passionate about international organizations and governments. I am very interested in political polarization and national security, my major provided me the avenues I needed in order to study these topics. I chose my minor in order to be more marketable for my future a career and dive deeper into my interest areas.

Favorite and/or most impactful course

Myths and Realities of the Justice System (POLS 347) had the biggest impact on me. This class taught me what I can expect in law school as well as in my career.

Research or internship experience

I've had the opportunity to work for the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature for the last two years. This experience was really beneficial to me in my studies and provided a lot insight into my own aspirations.

Other involvement

I have done work within my communities and at local mutual aid organizations to provide harm reduction services and support services to addicts and houseless people.

Why you chose Nebraska

I came to Nebraska for the 3+3 law program, I knew what I wanted when I applied for college and Nebraska was ready to help me make it happen. I felt like Nebraska took me and my passions seriously and provided me many opportunities to get to my career goals.
