Why you chose your major
When I was in middle school, I began to not only be good at math, but also love the subject. I have always had a way of understanding Mathematics unlike any other subject.
Favorite course
My favorite course within my major was Linear Algebra, because I enjoyed the material and how the content applied to other courses I have taken. My favorite course outside of my major has been floral design, where I have been able to explore my creative side and understand the art of putting flowers together.
Research or internship experience
This last summer I was a credit analyst intern with Farm Credit Services of America, an agricultural lending company. I spent my summer learning how to underwrite loans, but also understanding that the company is not just about lending money and also about technology, business, customer service and more. It was the most amazing summer I have had, and would encourage anyone to apply for an internship with this company.
Other involvement
I am also involved in the TeamMates mentoring program, working up in the skyboxes on football game days, and enjoying time with UNL's dance club.
Why you chose Nebraska
Because my family went to UNL and it felt like a second home.
