Why you chose your major

I've always had a huge passion for History, and I want to develop a way to show how interesting and rewarding the study of the past really is.

Favorite course

My favorite course so far has been History 335, The Era of the American Revolution taught by Professor Coltrain. I grew to appreciate both the genius and shortcomings of the founding fathers, and improved my historical writing and research skills through the course's challenging assignments.

Research or internship experience

I had a 2018 summer internship with the Willa Cather Archive. There I learned about creating a successful digital humanities project through webpage design, encoding documents, historical research, and interacting with library archive materials. I also had the pleasure of working with passionate individuals that understand the value of the humanities.

Other involvement

Chi Omega, The College of Arts and Sciences Student Advisory Board, Nebraska Honors Peer Mentor.

Why you chose Nebraska

I wanted to stay near my family in Lincoln, but also knew that Nebraska would have the resources available for wherever my interests would lead me.

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
