Why you chose your major

I love how well the information from both of my majors work together to study human behavior and interaction.

Favorite course

My favorite course so far has been English 151- Writing and Argument. I think this class stands out so much, even though it isn't a part of my major, is because I wasn't expecting much from it. I thought I was just doing it to cover an ACE and to refresh some writing skills. It ended up being a great class. I had an amazing professor that incorporated very applicable topics to writing and argument such as "kindness" and "everyday clutter". I enjoyed the smaller, discussion-style class and still remember the information because it was so useful. The professor knew what she was doing.

Research, education abroad, or internship experience

I am an actress for a research study, so I get to be involved in research in a unique way!

Other involvement

I am the event coordinator for a club called Cultural Ambassadors. What we do is provide a space for international and domestic students to come together and have fun. We like for students to tell about where they are from and to share traditions, games and experiences from their country. I think it gives international students a place to educate other people about where they are from as well as giving domestic students the opportunity to learn. It's just an amazing time!

Why you chose Nebraska

I chose UNL because I wanted to attend a large university. UNL has a great psychology program and so many opportunities for help in career planning. As a first-generation student it was important for me to have that support and the resources available to help me be successful.

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
