Why you chose your major

I always gravitated towards science growing up and it was my strong suit in high school. I also knew that I wanted to go into the medical field and the biology major correlates the most with the prerequisites for medical school!

Favorite and/or most impactful course

Organic chemistry made the biggest impact on me because it taught me how I needed to study and i’m what ways I learn best.

Research or internship experience

I am currently doing researcher with Blakelee Kemp. We are in the final writing stages of our paper and we are about to submit to a journal for publication. We used secondary data from the the HRS data to observe what educational mobility does to one’s health.

Other involvement

On campus, I am involved with greek life and off campus, I volunteer for a near by hospital.

Why you chose Nebraska

Nebraska offered me a collage that was close to home but also far enough away to where I can feel independent.

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
