Political Science and History

Favorite and/or most impactful course

Political Science 263 (causes of war and peace) because it got me interested international security and relations and really helped me expand my understanding of conflict and conflict resolution. Another favorite was Political Science 227 (the presidency) because I've always been interested in the executive branch and Professor Gruhl is super knowledgable about the subject.

Research or internship experience

My internship experience so far has included being a legislative page, which involves assisting senators and the clerk's office with tasks such as helping with the journals, making copies, and getting senators anything they might need while they're on the floor.

Other involvement

On campus I am the legislative chair of UNL Young Democrats, as well as part of the government liaison committee for ASUN. I am also the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Chair for my sorority, Phi Mu.

Why you chose Nebraska

I chose to attend UNL because I wanted to go to a big state school that had a good political science program and Nebraska has a lot of resources for getting involved in state and local politics!

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
