Why you chose your major

I picked my major because I knew I wanted to go into a field where I could help others!

Favorite course

My favorite course so far is SOC 217, which is Race and Ethnicity. I love how much it widened my worldview and that I was able to hear about others' experiences.

Research, education abroad, or internship experience

I am currently the lab manager of Eve Brank's Psychology and Law lab. I joined as a freshman with no prior experience, and fell in love with the research work. We focus a lot on Fourth Amendment material and how that interacts with people's knowledge of the law!

Other involvement

I am currently the risk manager of my sorority! It has taught me a lot about responsibility, accountability, and time management. I also enjoy being able to know I can keep my sisters safe while abiding by guidelines and learning more about what makes a large organization function successfully!

Why you chose Nebraska

I am an out of state student, so I got a pretty good scholarship to help pay for school. Keeping in mind that I would be paying for graduate school in addition to my undergrad, it was a perfect combination of a school I had visited and loved with a scholarship that made the price comparable to an in-state student.

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
