Why you chose your major

Literature and theatre were two passions of mine. Especially after hearing from our amazing career coaches and presenters at recruitment events as a high schooler CAS’s model of academics+experience= opportunity excited me. Hearing how in four years many had gone into fields that had not existed upon their enrollment in university helped me take the step to choosing a humanities major that didn’t have a clear road to success because I knew I could blaze my own path with the help of CAS.

Favorite and/or most impactful course

My senior capstone course. I would say this has made the biggest impact because it is so focused on creativity. Encouraging students to be creative in their day to day work and creating a community where we can share and reflect on the creative process.

Research or internship experience

Over the summer of 2022 I was a remote intern for Macmillan Publishers working on the marketing team of some of their imprints. This was an amazing opportunity that I heard of through an advisor email. It was an amazing experience to work in the field I see as a possible career in my future.

Why you chose Nebraska

After visiting many different schools UNL felt the most welcoming and comfortable. I loved the location of being in a semi-urban area while still having the Midwestern hospitality.
Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
