Why you chose your major
I've been interested in learning about other cultures so I was quite excited to learn about Nebraska's Global Studies program. Global Studies quickly introduced me to a wide variety of topics, so I decided to focus on international affairs from an economic perspective.
Favorite and/or most impactful course
I took Pols 160, Intro to International Relations, fall of my freshman year and loved the class! Although it was a large lecture style class, our teaching assistants went out of their way to help us succeed in the class and getting to know us on a personal level. I was also really invested in the course material and seeing how countries interact and make decisions.
Research or internship experience
I will have my first internship this upcoming summer and am so excited to see what I learn from it!
Other involvement
I am the Social Media Chair for UNL's Russian Club, involved with the Intelligence Community Scholars Program, as well as Sigma Iota Rho- a Global Studies honor society.
Why you chose Nebraska
I really wanted a big school with lots of school spirit and Nebraska certainly has that! UNL also has a great Global Studies department that allows you to customize the major to your interests and allowed me to take classes in a variety of other departments.
Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
