Why you chose your major
I decided to study Biology because it goes great with my requirements for medical school. I also loved the ACE 10 biology courses that were medicine focused, such as Cancer Biology.
Favorite course
I surprisingly really loved the organic chemistry series of classes! While I did enjoy the content, my favorite part of the classes was the bond I formed with the people I studied with because we could not have succeeded without each other!
Research or internship experience
The past two summers I have worked as a phlebotomist at UNMC in Omaha. I have loved working with patients directly and being challenged every single day!
Other involvement
Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) honor society-Vice President of Programming, Chi Omega-Philanthropy Chair, Health Science Scholars, BIOS 101 Lab Prep.
Why you chose Nebraska
I knew I wanted to stay in Nebraska and I loved the relationship between UNL and UNMC, since that is where I want to attend medical school.
