Favorite and/or most impactful course

The class that has made the biggest impact on me so far is WMNS101. This course allowed me to learn about important issues from a variety of perspectives. I found the information to be very useful and insightful.

The class that has been my favorite so far is PSYC350. This class really opened my eyes to the fascinating world of research and made me feel more prepared for my future career in the field of psychology!

Research or internship experience

I work in the UNL BAR Lab. We research alcohol and social perception (it is an on-going study so I cannot include much information). My duties include guiding participants through lab protocol as well as entering study data. I also have a part time job on campus at UNL's Psychology Advising office as Social Media Student worker. In this position I program and run the department's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Other involvement

I am on the executive team for Out of the Darkness UNL. This organization raises money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We do monthly outreach as well as a walk in the spring to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.

Why you chose Nebraska

I chose to attend UNL because of its amazing reputation as a research institution as well as its unique sense of community and endless opportunities for growth.

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
