Why you chose your major

I came into college undeclared but after a lot of help from the explore center and taking different courses, I decided to study what I was truly passionate in- English and psychology. I had never thought about double majoring, but my advisor showed me that it was completely manageable. Through a Native American literature course I took my freshman year, I discovered my passion for learning about different cultures and that's how I chose to add an ethnic studies minor to my degree plan as well.

Favorite and/or most impactful course

The class that has made the biggest impact on me was a class I took my freshman year, Introduction to Native American Literature. This class allowed me to not only discover my passion for learning about different people and cultures, but it also allowed me to progress as a writer, reader, and student.

Research or internship experience

I have not yet participated in an internship or research experience, but I look forward to trying both of them in the future.

Other involvement

I am very active in the Student Alumni Association and I currently hold the title of the vice president of internal relations. I love SAA because the organization allows me to connect with current and past UNL students as well as campus traditions and events.

Why you chose Nebraska

I decided to come to Nebraska because after I visited UNL I fell in love with the campus, academic programs, and the welcoming presence of the people who attended the university. As cheesy as it sounds, it just felt like home.

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
