Why you chose your major

I always was interested in politics ever since I was little. I fell in love with economics due to my AP Economics class my senior year of high school.

Favorite and/or most impactful course

My business statistics class (ECON 214) , because I realized that I enjoyed mixing math and economics together. Also, my professor is incredible and is doing some fascinating research.

Research or internship experience

Over the summer of 2022, I worked for a congressional campaign in Iowa. I got to help with event planning and I was able to talk to the voters about their view and hopes for their future representative. It was fantastic to get back into the grassroots part of politics and it will influence the way I view political campaigns in the future.

Other involvement

I am a Husker Care Peer Educator and I teach workshops about sexual misconduct and relationship violence. It is definitely a difficult topic to discuss, but I am very happy that I am part of the small team of students that are educating our peers about these very serious and incredibly important issues.

Why you chose Nebraska

I loved the way the college of arts and science was set up so it would be possible for me to graduate in four years with a double major.

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
