Why you chose your major
When I was a kid, I would sit next to the window for literal hours watching thunderstorms and clouds roll by. When I got to high school and was faced with the question of what l was going to study in college, I realized meteorology was (and still is) my passion.
Favorite course
Synoptic Meteorology. This was the first class I learned about forecasting and wasn't full of complicated math equations!
Research or internship experience
I researched through UCARE my junior year. I got to develop a program that takes two low pressure systems, centers and overlays them, and then plots their combination, essentially making a model low pressure system to base forecasting off of.
