Major
Biological Sciences (Pre-Physician Assistant)
Senior
Hurst, TX
Why you chose your major
I decided to be a Biology/Pre-PA major because I have always been interested in science and had a desire to help people and the medical field is the perfect way to marry the two.
Favorite course
ENGL 315B - I never expected to love an english course and I honestly dreaded having to take it. However, I was excited every single day to show up to this class after syllabus day. We discussed important issues in our world surrounding gender, class, race, sexual orientation, etc. I read the most interesting books that I couldn't put down and I will forever be grateful that I had the opportunity to be taught by Professor Levchenko.
Research or internship experience
I work as a research assistant in a psychology lab under two extremely dedicated graduate students. I've had the opportunity to learn how to run participants through a typical experiment, how research can change on a dime and how to deal with these changes, and how to work as a team.
Other involvement
I am a Campus Host (tour guide) and a YoungLife College Leader.
Why you chose Nebraska
I chose the University of Nebraska due to the endless amounts of opportunities offered to me on campus. As a student, you have so many options of what to get involved in here on campus. You truly get to decide exactly what your college experience looks like. The best decision I ever made was to make the move from Texas to Nebraska.
Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
