Why you chose your major

I picked my major because I have a passion for helping people. Both of my grandfathers died from potentially preventable diseases, and I want to make a difference for someone else's grandchildren, sister, brother, etc.

Favorite and/or most impactful course

My favorite course in college so far has been the Life 121 class that I am taking right now. Dr. Cressler is very good at presenting the information in a way that is relatable. The lab portion of the course engages students with live animals to study as well!

Research or internship experience

I am currently applying for INBRE UNL which is a research program with UNMC, but I am currently doing a paid internship with Jeff Fortenberry and learning about forming public policy and developing public relations!

Other involvement

I am the President of Students for Life, a Volunteer Chair for the Executive Board at the Newman Center, and am a Peer Mentor for the Honors Program.

Why you chose Nebraska

I decided to come to Nebraska because the minute that I set foot on campus it felt like home. The atmosphere was so welcoming, and I have never for a minute regretted the best decision of my life! GBR FOR LIFE!

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
