Why you chose your major
During my intro to psychology class in high school, I learned about Industrial-Organization Psychology which is psychology applied in business. It really opened my eyes to all the possibilities I could have with a psych degree so I went for it and I absolutely love it! I then wanted to add a second major that would give me important life skills and I really fell in love with communications and studying how people communicate and make connections with each other.
Favorite course
Developmental Psychology.
Research, education abroad, or internship experience
Through many of my psychology classes, I've got the chance to participate in several research opportunities which I have really enjoyed. I was a participant in studies focusing on memory, the psychology behind marketing campaigns, how different personalities respond to situations, and more. They were all incredibly interesting!
Other involvement
One thing I am involved with on campus is Greek Life! Our Greek system at UNL is a really close knit, supportive, and academic focused community and I absolutely love it. I am on the academic committee in my chapter which works to improve our chapter's academics and helps members improve in their studies. This is something I am very passionate about!
Why you chose Nebraska
When I walked on campus I just felt like I was supposed to be here. I could picture myself studying in the library, living in the dorms, and walking to class. The facilities were outstanding and everyone was so welcoming to me. UNL is steeped in tradition and I wanted to be apart of it. I just knew it was home!
