Why you chose your major

I wanted a career that would let me help people in anyway possible because doing that gives me the most joy. I was fascinated when I took my first Intro to Psych class as I get to learn so much about human behaviors, thoughts, emotions and perceptions from a scientific point of view. I was hooked ever since.

Favorite course

Advanced Social Psychology with Dr. Carolyn Brown-Kramer. Not only the syllabus itself was interesting, Dr. BK made the class really engaging and fun to go to since it is a discussion-based class. I was always looking forward to go to class because I not only get to learn from the instructor, but from my peers as well. Now I've developed a love for group discussions and I thank Dr. BK for that!

Other involvement

Sigma Psi Zeta, CAS Student Advisory Board, Well-Being Peer Coach Program with Big Red Resilience, Global Peer Mentor at ISSO, International Welcome Team at NSE, Research Assistant at BSAVE Lab and Writing Center Assistant

Why you chose Nebraska

The campus diversity and acceptance for new cultures was a big factor for me - it will be hard for me to attend an institution where I will not be accepted as an international student. UNL being in the Big Ten Conference as well as their emphasis on top tier research across many fields was important to me as a psychology major. Also safety in Lincoln in general was a major factor for my parents.

Student Ambassadors group
