An Applause for
Brianna Petersen
Administrative Technician
Department of Modern Languages and Literatures
“Bri is very hardworking and supportive! I taught in person during spring 2021, which was a challenging time for many, but she was always there to help with any question I had. I know I can always check with her for any problem. Also, she is very very fast in responding to emails which I highly appreciate! I would love to see Bri recognized for her kindness and dedication!”

“Bri is a key staff person for a giant department like ours she has gone above and beyond in supporting us during this pandemic. She has been amazing.”

“Bri is the full time assistant to the chair, and often the sole office person to hold down the “fort” of DMLL during this year of the pandemic. She is a fast and intelligent problem solver, dealing with all of our different cultures in a super effective way. To imagine her pursuing graduate level work “on the side” is even more impressive!”

“As Spanish Section Head this semester, Bri was always there to help me. She is a great colleague, and not only because she is a hard working person, but because she is a positive influence on everybody.”

“Bri has been a huge help to all teachers and grad students during this past year, and has done a large amount of it completely on her own! While there were originally 2 working in the office, Morgan moved on leaving Bri to cover for the entire department, and she still did a fantastic job, making everyone's lives easier within the department. She keeps everyone updated, is quick to respond to emails or to help in person, and has made this past year much more bearable with her support!”

“In this unprecedentedly difficult academic year, Bri has been amazing, helping us in the department always with incredible swiftness and efficiency. I am very grateful of her energetic support that has facilitated our daily work tremendously. Also, as the department's hub person, Bri has always great inputs on various matters during meetings. I do hope that she will stay in our department for many years to come!”

“I was amazed at how quickly Bri learned how to manage our department. Not only did she have to learn hundreds of different tasks very quickly, she also had to adapt to a multi-generational and very multicultural workplace. I am so grateful that she came with an open mind and that she made an effort to accept us all in all our differences. She was amazing again this year. During the pandemic, she has managed to make things run smoothly for us and has shown a wonderful upbeat attitude, even after Morgan left and after being the only one in the main office. Our department is lucky to have her. I know I feel lucky that I can always send her an email when I have a doubt and she’ll always respond very promptly in a very positive manner. I think her efforts these past two years need to be recognized! ”
