“Jaime embodies the motto "Every Person and Every Interaction Matters." In addition to being efficient in her work, she radiates good cheer and kindness. She always greets me with a smile and strikes up a friendly conversation when I see her at the office. Whenever I have turned to her for help, she has been incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, applying her expertise to navigate challenges, answer complex questions, and help keep things running smoothly. She approaches the work with a positive attitude and patience and lets us know that she's always happy to help and that we can email her at any time. Additionally, she has stepped up to help fill in for colleagues who left their positions or were on leave this past year. For example, when I ran into travel issues with a snowstorm that impacted my conference travel right after the New Year's holiday, the position of Finance Coordinator was still vacant, so the colleague who would usually handle concur was no longer there. Jaime let me know ahead of time that I could turn to her for help with my trip, and she was quick to respond to my emails and help me sort it out. Before the holidays she had also collaborated with co-workers in the business compound to put together hand-written notes of appreciation for colleagues. She said "the PBC team wanted to do something small in appreciation for those who have touched us in some way or another throughout the year." She also always asks me how I am doing and goes the extra mile to be supportive. I really appreciate Jaime's strong work ethic and kindness, and think that she is very deserving of an Applause Award.”

Jaime has been the Business Manager for the Pound Business Center since Fall 2023, during this time she has created a great working relationship with the department/program Chairs and Directors providing them with excellent customer service managing their complex budgets and providing them with accurate information in a timely manner.
"I have worked in various roles working alongside and now as one of her employees, I have watched her grow over the years expanding her knowledge and commitment to serving the depts/programs to the best of her abilities. Jamie is hard working, always willing to assist and goes the extra mile for everyone. Jaime will take the time out of her busy day and assist her staff, training/explaining the process and programs. Her patience is undeniably one of her greatest assets.

“I am nominating Jaime for the applause for many, many reasons. In October 2023, Jaime accepted the position as Business Manager for the PBC and has gone above and beyond in her new role. Jaime stepped up and took on departments who were in dire need of professional and consistent business support. There is no doubt she felt pressure and stress in her new role, yet she never offloaded those feelings to anyone else. She is a very welcoming and a positive light in our college. “Over the past years that I have been working with Jaime, she has consistently demonstrated profound leadership for the PBC. She works tirelessly to keep the departments of CAS that she serves functioning smoothly, and she gives her time and energy to create a positive culture and warmth that directly impacted my experiences working in CAS. She does this by making the environment feel safe, energetic, productive, and inclusive. Small acts Jaime does make the greatest impression on my experience as an instructor for CAS. Jaime takes the time to learn about each person she works with, consistently asks how I am, remembers details about who I am, and makes sure I feel comfortable asking for help -- on top of ALL she does!
