During my time at UNL, there has been a lot of flux in the administrative assistant role in the math department, and we've really appreciated having her.”

“Kim is absolutely fantastic! She is absolutely indispensable to our graduate program. Kim is professional, extremely quick and efficient, and most of all she is always kind and thoughtful in everything she does. Not only is she great at all aspects of her job, she has skills we would not have thought to ask that have been extremely helpful, and she often takes initiative to think of other ways she can be helpful. For example, I have worked with her on recruitment of future graduate students for our program, and she has had many excellent ideas of things we can do to make our materials and events more appealing. She is a big reason we have recruited such an excellent first year class for Fall 2025, and I am sure with her support we will have another excellent incoming class next year!”

“Kim has done an amazing job supporting the graduate programs and graduate students in the Mathematics Department, as a member of Pound Business Cooperative. Kim has gotten to know the students and is able to answer more and more of their questions. Kim has taken the initiative to clean up past files (paper and digital), particularly making our student spreadsheets more streamlined, helpful, and organized. This has been a tremendous effort, and so very much appreciated! One of the other things I appreciate Kim is she realizes what she doesn't know, and asks questions to learn.”

“Kim has been a great member of the department! Very organized, and a hard worker. Always able to get us the information we need even when she doesn't have it. She has also been critical for all the graduate students in our program in various ways. Ranging from making sure we are all on track to meet our milestones in the program to making sure our paperwork is in order. Her commitment to this program was also apparent from the first day she joined. We never really noticed a transition period when Kim joined. She was hustling from the beginning as if she had done this for years before coming here. I think Kim is very deserving of this award!”
