From little things like making our reception area warm and inviting to major undertakings like our website, social media, and annual report, Mindy is tireless in attending to every detail. She works hard to understand and communicate the nuances of the wide range of programs under the CCFL umbrella. I also appreciate how willing she is to help whenever she's asked, often dropping what she's doing to accommodate a colleague's request. She works very hard with her daily tasks but is constantly thinking of ways to help others in the office, how to make things easier and more accessible, has a smile and a happy "hello" every morning. She is positive and it reflects in her work and relationships. She was a major reason my transition into CCFL went smoothly and immediately made me feel at home. Mindy went above and beyond in making our tax site drop-off with Crete happen in a timely manner. She assisted in bringing staff together to work on branding VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and promoting VITA activities. In addition, when taxpayers contact the CCFL she assures them that a VITA staff member will be in contact with them and quickly sends staff a message. These are only few examples of her impeccable professionalism and servant leadership qualities.”

“Mindy keeps our center running! She is so organized, efficient, and helpful! When I was new to the center, Mindy was very welcoming - providing me with all the information I needed and checking in to make sure I was settling in. She is a great problem-solver and worked with our team to create our project content for our annual report. She is great at highlighting our work and sharing it on our social media. Mindy also pays attention to details, including making our office space warm and inviting by including personal touches, plants, flowers, and other decorations. We appreciate all her work and she is very deserving of this award!”

“Mindy is our Outreach Specialist, and she does an amazing job spreading the word about each and every project housed at our center. There is nothing she can't do. She is often the first person who greets faculty, staff and guests to our office, and beautifully balances everything it takes to make our office run smoothly. She never hesitates to assist in "other assigned tasks," and always takes the time to let others know they are appreciated. I don't know where we would be without Mindy.
