“Stephanie is amazing. She not only gets the job done well, which is reason enough to nominate her, she does it in a friendly and helpful way. Stephanie is one of the kindest, most generous people I have met at UNL and I'm extremely happy to have had the opportunity to work with her. Stephanie is also very smart about her job. I remember several instances when a travel issue arose and Stephanie would gently raise a concern that the request didn't fit with college policy. She never was rigid about it but instead would gently question the legitimacy of the request. Her approach was perfect -- not too hard-core and rigid but understanding the importance of applying a policy fairly across all people. This was great! Speaking of fair processes, Stephanie has been an important voice in the Dean's Office for creating clear and fair policies and processes. She is willing to speak up and make her views known, but she also listens to others' opinions. Stephanie is such an asset to the college and the Dean's Office, and more than deserving of the Applause award! ”

“Stephanie goes above and beyond in regards to customer service. She adapts to her customer’s needs and always does so with patience, promptness and a smile. She is also proactive in wanting to understand the roles of others in order to provide a seamless experience for customers during an absence. While I was on maternity leave, she was tasked with completing my duties, including two major projects of which she has had little experience with. She executed all my responsibilities flawlessly. It was because of her that I was able to transition back to work so easily, knowing that tasks were taken care of and that I could focus on what was upcoming. Please give her an Applause!”

“Stephanie Welch is long overdue to receive an Applause Award. Stephanie is a detail-oriented person who makes sure we get information to her. Stephanie volunteers to serve on various committees for the Dean's Office, including the ones that need quite a bit of time. Stephanie cares about her position, college and Dean's Office. She will work whatever necessary to see that a job is complete in a timely matter. Please recognize Stephanie with the Applause Award for all of her contributions and dedication to the college!”
