She is able to simultaneously provide positive customer service while maintaining her workload. She recently stepped into a higher level position and is training new employees. Vanja consistently goes above and beyond to provide wonderful service and is always available to assist others. We are incredibly thankful for her positive attitude and determination to be the best employee she can be! Please give her an Applause!”

“As chair of the English Department, I’ve worked closely with Vanja for several years, indeed: since she was hired. While Vanja’s position, in terms of supervision, is in the OBC, and while her presence in Andrews Hall has declined due to her new position and its requirements, I nevertheless continue to regularly interact with her. I can say without question that Vanja has always impressed me because of both her professionalism and her friendly, kind, helpful attitude. Vanja works fast, yet never offloads the stress she must undoubtedly feel on others—whether it’s me or my colleagues in the department. I don’t take this for granted, which is why I noticed it and want to note it here. I’ve also been impressed with Vanja because of how quickly she has acclimated to her positions, first working as a Financial Coordinator and now as a Financial Specialist. When I learned that she was being considered for the latter position I was not surprised, for I’ve come to think of Vanja as a fast learner. Vanja has navigated this stressful overall set of circumstances with grace and dexterity—and I’m sure she’ll continue to do the same in the future. I heartily applaud her and know that CAS will do so as well.”

“Vanja has gone above and beyond this past year. When the Pound Business Cooperative (PBC) lost their Finance Coordinator in June, Vanja stepped up and added six more departments/programs to her already busy Oldfather Business Cooperative (OBC) Finance Coordinator duties. Then when I was hired in August, as the new Finance Coordinator for PBC, Vanja not only continued with her day to day responsibilities, but she also set aside time in her busy schedule to train me. Then in September, Vanja was promoted to Finance Specialist for the OBC where she has taken on even more responsibility. Vanja goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels welcome and they receive the assistance that they need. Let’s give her an Applause!”

“Vanja does a great job as a Finance Specialist. She is so helpful to our Department in all areas, helping with faculty and staff/department needs. She is a very patient and kind person with a great personality. It's easy to contact her and she replies immediately. I am very thankful to have a wonderful "go to" person in the OBC and someone reliable and knowledgeable.”
