Center for Digital Research in the Humanities

A community of interdisciplinary researchers building digital content and systems as part of this joint initiative of the college and the university's libraries.

Center for Great Plains Studies

Fostering the study of and appreciation for the people, cultures, and natural environment of the Great Plains. The center operates the Great Plains Art Museum, the Plains Humanities Alliance, and other projects and programs, and it publishes Great Plains Quarterly and Great Plains Research.

Center on Children, Families and the Law

Interdisciplinary research, teaching, and public service on issues related to child and family policy and services. Making it easier to educate policy makers, scholars, service providers, and the general public and serving as the primary basis for new local, state, and national legislation.

Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior

A unique partnership between Nebraska research and athletics specializing in concussion research, in collaboration with the Big Ten Conference, the Ivy League, and the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC).

Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication

In this Center of Biomedical Research Excellence, interdisciplinary teams study the regulation of biomolecular communication pathways critical to health. Website

Research programs focusing on important viral diseases of humans, collaborating with the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University.

Materials Research Sciences and Engineering Center

One of a nationwide network of MRSECs sponsored by the National Science Foundation supporting interdisciplinary materials research and education. "Polarization and Spin Phenomena in Nanoferroic Structures" (P-SPINS) here at Nebraska carries out collaborative research on new magnetic materials and structures at the nanometer scale. Website

The focal point of interdisciplinary research in materials in our college and the College of Engineering - a nationally recognized center of excellence in materials research science and engineering, nanoscience, and nanotechnology. Website

Center for Plant Science Innovation

Enabling innovative plant biology research, applying it to technologies that improve crop productivity and quality, and educating the public about it. Website

Center for Science, Mathematics and Computer Education

Supporting faculty who are focused on improving the teaching and learning of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) at the PK-12 and collegiate level and building partnerships among leaders in the higher education and PK-12 education sectors. Website

Rural Drug Addiction Research Center

Studying the full range of the effects of rural substance use from the synapse through society, bringing together researchers of brain chemistry, social patterns of drug use, epigenetic understandings of biology and experience, and others. Website

Reller Prairie Field Station

Located southwest of Lincoln, the environment offers space for faculty and students to archaeological field schools, forensic anthropology, Geographic Information System (GIS) research, and more. Webpage

Behlen Observatory

Housing a 30" Cassegrain telescope in Yutan, Nebraska, this observatory is open to the public several times a year for night sky observation, talks by scientists, and demonstrations by the university's Society of Physics Students. Website

Methodology and Evaluation Research Core Facility (MERC)

Supports innovative approaches to sample design, data collection, data management, data archiving, and evaluation within a collaborative environment. Housed in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Consortium (SBSRC). Website

A one-stop survey research shop for university investigators as well as off-campus organizations. Website

Improving the health status of vulnerable and disadvantaged populations and expanding the participation of minorities in research and education. Website

Cedar Point Biological Station

A field-based experiential classroom and research area located beside Lake Ogallala and an early member of the Organization of Biological Field Stations. Website

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Located in the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior, the MRI Facility features a Siemens Skyra 3 Tesla MRI scanner and capabilities for simultaneous use of a high-density electroencephalography (EEG) system and eye tracker. Website

Salivary Bioscience Lab

Located in the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior, this lab facilitates the integration of salivary biomarkers into academic research and brings salivary bioscience to elite athletes. Website

Systems Biology Core

Located in the Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication, incorporates systems biology instrumentation, methodologies, and expertise at Nebraska—the Microscopy Core Research Facility and the Molecular Analysis and Characterization Facility—to meet the 'omics' and microscopy needs of researchers. Data Management and Analysis Core

Nebraska Center for Mass Spectrometry

Instruments for electron ionization (EI), chemical ionization (CI), fast atom bombardment (FAB), electrospray ionization (ESI) and matrix-assisted laser desorption (MALDI). Website
