IDEA Co-Sponsorship Request Form

The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Committee welcomes requests from students, staff, and faculty to co-sponsor speakers and events that help fulfill the committee’s mission:

The College of Arts and Sciences Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Committee works closely with the university to ensure the equal right of every member of our community—students, staff, and faculty—to be included, supported, and heard.  As educators, we value multiple perspectives and embrace excellence through diversity of all kinds, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, religion, age, national origin, physical ability, and neurological difference.  Diversity and inclusion are everyone’s responsibility.

Co-sponsorship requests may range from $50 to $500 (e.g., catering for an event).

Criteria for co-sponsorship with IDEA

  • The speaker or event must address an issue or issues relevant to inclusion, diversity, equity, and/or access.
  • The event must be designed to enhance the education and intellectual climate for students, staff, and/or faculty in the college or the university as a whole.
  • Typically, we prefer events that are free and open to the public, but exceptions will be considered.

Requests will be considered on a rolling basis and reviewed at our monthly meeting. Please submit early enough to ensure consideration. Moreover, as funding is limited and may be exhausted, we encourage early requests whenever possible.
