Media and Public Relations

Effective public relations starts with being proactive, consistent, and authentic in how you communicate. To build trust and strengthen your reputation, you’ll want to know your audience, share your story clearly, and maintain transparency. Being prepared with a plan for challenges, engaging across multiple channels, and tracking how your message is received will help you stay ahead and make a lasting impact.

When challenges arise, contact your chair or director for initial guidance.  The Dean, Associate Deans, and Sr. Director of Marketing and Communication in the Dean's Office are additional resources to assist in navigating best practices regarding public relations.
