Students assisting with research
Doctoral student Jim Benes and UCARE students Jasmine Pham and Joe Stalder are seen with charcoal samples from the Nebraska Sandhills in this July 2024 photo.

Forty-seven Husker undergraduates with majors in the College of Arts and Sciences will participate in research and/or creative activity with a faculty mentor this summer.

The Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience (UCARE) Program supports undergraduates to work with faculty mentors in research or creative activities. Students receive stipends of $2,640 for engaging 20 hours per week and will present posters at a campus research symposium Aug. 5 in the Nebraska Union with students from the Nebraska Summer Research Program.
