Bridget Goosby, an associate professor of sociology, was recently elected to the General Social Survey Board of Overseers along with other distinguished social science scholars. The GSS Board of Overseers is comprised of a diverse array of esteemed scholars and is the most widely used data source in social science research. Eric Malina, an associate professor of practice in the Department of Chemistry, was awarded the 2015 Association of the Students of the University of Nebraska Outstanding Educator of the Year Award for large classes at the ASUN new student government installation. UNL students voted using write-in ballots to recognize outstanding professors teaching small and large classes in the ASUN elections in March.
