Changes to AP history curriculum supported by educators

High school students taking Advanced Placement U.S. history this year will have a curriculum closer to that of a college course equivalent.

College Board, the private nonprofit corporation that runs the Advanced Placement program, has once again introduced changes to the framework of the class as a response to the heavy criticism from its 2014 changes.

Dr. William Thomas, chair of the history department, said he believes this was a smart decision.
