You Matter Day, which will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3 and sponsored by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s LGBTQA+ Resource Center, aims to increase visibility for the center and connect students with both on and off campus resources.

The event will include a graduate-student social, a Brave Space Workshop and an interest meeting for Spectrum UNL – a group for LGBTQ+ Resource Center.

“A lot of the [graduate] students are in the department and they may feel like, ‘I’m the only one,’” Pat Tetreault, director of LGBTQA+ Resource Center said.
