Andrew Moyer is a second-year biological sciences major who recently completed a field-based course (LIFE 121) at the Cedar Point Biological Station. This immersive experience allowed Andrew to dive deep into the world of biology, exploring various ecological environments and uncovering new passions.
“Through this experience, I gained a breadth of knowledge, developed a strong biological foundation, made lasting connections, and uncovered new interests and passions.”
His experience was marked by meaningful connections and personal growth, making it more than just an academic requirement.
Through DNA sequencing, phylogenetic tree analysis, and a final research project on Prickly pear cacti, Andrew’s summer was both insightful and aligned with his future aspirations.
