Trinity Black participated in the Meaning and Pasta: Storytelling & Wellbeing faculty-led study abroad program this summer!

“I didn’t know anyone going on this study abroad, so I was really taking a leap. While abroad, our class activities often involved interacting with locals and classmates to hear their personal stories. Some of these new experiences included a cooking class, a boat tour of Ischia, exploring Pompeii, visiting a pasta factory and a mozzarella factory, and traveling along the Amalfi Coast
These experiences showed me why storytelling is so important for our wellbeing. The connections I made highlighted how much storytelling impacted my wellbeing during the trip and even after. The relationships I created with my classmates are ones that will last a lifetime, and I encourage everyone to take the leap and be open to new experiences and new people.”
