Students honored for character, civic engagement

A ceremony on April 19 recognized 'Franco's List' students and those who earned certificates and service awards through the Center for Civic Engagement.

Taylor O'Brien,  Corey Archer, Jonathan Baker, Sidney Vandyke-ries, Madison Pohlman, and Charlotte Sjulin were named to ‘Franco’s List,’ a distinction for character and integrity.

The Center for Civic Engagement honored two Arts and Sciences students for completing the certificate program which integrated academic outcomes and student life experiences:

  • Abigail Foley, "Creating a Peer Mentoring Program at Belmont Elementary School
  • Kirsten Sullivan, "Guide for Pre-Optometry Students"

The Computer Science and Engineering Ambassadors were recognized with a Spirit of Service award "for their civic-minded efforts and/or service-learning participation."
