Jilian Duan, Kevin Gonzales, and Vanessa Gorman have been selected as the Teaching Academy Fellows for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The initiative engages our faculty in local, national, and international conversations about essential issues in higher education; develops teaching expertise across the disciplines and at all levels of learning; and recognizes and rewards exceptional teachers. Fellows serve three-year terms, and new fellows are selected annually.

  • Duan is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Women's and Gender Studies program. Her areas of specialization include transnational feminisms, feminist and queer activism, and gender and new media. Her title in the program will be Donald Olson Fellow.
  • Gonzales is an assistant professor of practice in the Department of Mathematics. He will be a Gordon Woodward Fellow in the program.
  • Gorman is Aaron Douglas Professor for Teaching Excellence in the Departments of History and Classics and Religious Studies. Her primary fields of expertise are Greek history and historiography, Greek pedagogy, philology and dependency syntax, and digital humanities. In the program she will have the title of Paul Olson Fellow.

The program is coordinated by Julia Reilly and June Griffin.
