“I am delighted to nominate Allyson for the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Ovation Award. Since her very first semester at UNL, Allyson has been a valued member of the Manter Advising office, bringing warmth, reliability, and genuine care for others. Now as a CAS Biological Sciences senior, she continues to be a steady and positive presence, helping students feel welcomed, supported, and connected to the resources they need. What makes Allyson truly remarkable is how much she juggles while still giving her best to others. In addition to her role in CAS (BIOS) Advising, she serves as a CAS Ambassador, a Chemistry Lab TA, and an Honors Peer Mentor TA, all while taking on a course load of more than 17 credit hours each semester. Even with this full schedule, she always makes time to help, whether it is answering questions for students and advising staff (she is our BIOS expert in the advising office!) during our busiest days or simply! sharing her kindness and encouragement. Allyson also brings a creative spark that makes our office brighter. She keeps things organized, contributes to decorations that showcase school spirit, and helps create an atmosphere where students and staff alike feel comfortable and welcomed. She truly exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated, community-minded student leader. It is a joy to nominate Allyson for this well-deserved recognition!”

“Allyson has been working in the advising office since her freshman year and she is now a senior. She has proven to be an integral part of the team and someone that both staff and students can depend on for assistance. Allyson also works as a chemistry tutor and helps run a chem lab. On top of all of that, she is a College Student Ambassador as well as works in the honors college.
The University and the College of Arts and Sciences are extremely lucky to have Allyson as part of the campus community and she will continue to make a positive impact on anyone that has the opportunity to work with her in her future endeavors. Let’s give her an Ovation!”

“Allyson has assisted the advising office in a multitude of ways, and done so with a positive and warm attitude. Her longevity in this office has allowed her to understand and learn a great deal of institutional knowledge, and she has been a valuable resource on our busiest advising days by assisting walk-ins with quick questions on how to use student resources. She's always willing to help out, whether it be by welcoming prospective students and their families to our office during campus visits, or by walking new students to their classrooms when they find themselves lost in our office. Allyson also helps promote a positive environment by helping to keep the office area tidy and clean, and she contributes to designing and creating decorations to promote school spirit. She is an outstanding student in the College of Arts and Sciences. It is my pleasure to nominate Allyson for the College of Arts and Sciences Ovation award.”
