Why you chose your major
I chose to major in Biological Sciences because it feels like the perfect major to explore the vast field of biology and help set me up for success in medicine. I chose to minor in Spanish as I have always loved learning the language and I know that my Spanish knowledge will help me communicate with more patients.

Favorite and/or most impactful course
My gen chem class, as it really showed me how I was capable of anything as long as I want persistent and dedicated. I got to form a great relationship with my professor who made the class enjoyable even in a large lecture hall.

Research or internship experience
Through the First Year Research Experience, I have had the opportunity to start research as a freshman. As a research assistant, I primarily help with data analysis or data collection for a project comparing the immune systems in different species.

Other involvement
Honors ambassador, Philanthropy Assistant chair for Chi Omega

Why you chose Nebraska
I decided to come to Nebraska as I knew this was the place that push me to become a well-rounded student and person, allowing myself to prepare for a career in healthcare while staying close to my family.
