Why you chose your major
Growing up, I was interested in politics and law, and it seemed like Political Science on the Pre-Law track was the right choice for me. I am dedicated to understanding the way our government and legal system works, and I want to be able to help people in the future by pursuing Immigration and International Law.
Favorite and/or most impactful course
One class that has made the biggest impact on me so far was POLS 277, which is a Latin American politics class. This class introduced me to Latin American politics and gave me a space to share my thoughts, learn, and communicate interculturally with other students.
Research or internship experience
One internship experience I have had, and am still pursuing, is working at Wolzen Law, an immigration law office. This experience has not only confirmed my desire to become an attorney in the future, but it has also reaffirmed my commitment to helping underrepresented individuals.
Other involvement
I am involved in the Political Science Advisory Board, I am a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and I am involved in ASUN Student Government, where I serve as the Sexual Misconduct Prevention Committee Chair and a Senator for the Exploratory College.
Why you chose Nebraska
I decided to come to Nebraska because I was looking for a bigger out of state school that was not too far away from home. After looking through all the resources and everything else Nebraska has to offer, it felt like it was the right place for me.
Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
