Why you chose your major
I have always known I wanted to work in the medical field so a biology major seemed the most applicable. I chose a psychology minor because the brain is very interesting to me and I wanted to learn more.
Favorite and/or most impactful course
Organic chemistry has made the biggest impact on me so far because it is a very challenging course that has taught me to think and solve problems in ways I never have before.
Research or internship experience
I was briefly a part of a behavioral neuropharmacology research lab where we tested the neurological effects of drugs on rats.
Other involvement
I am on the board of directors for the Student Alumni Association, teach STEM to 4th-5th grade girls at an elementary school, and am a member of Pre-PA, Pre-Health, and Biology club.
Why you chose Nebraska
I chose to come to Nebraska because it is a big school with a variety of different opportunities while still being fairly close to home.
Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
