Why you chose your major
I have always done the best in my English classes, so I decided I may as well roll with it. I knew I did not want a major focusing on math, and I thought English was broad enough to give me different opportunities after I graduate.Favorite and/or most impactful course
I really enjoyed my geology (GEOL101) class. Rocks and the outdoors have always been big passions of mine, so getting the opportunity to learn a bit about it was really fun. The lab also taught me really interesting things outside of class itself. Learning to identify rocks was something I enjoyed a lot in class as well.Research or internship experience
I have not done research or internships yet.Other involvement
I am the Vice President of an RSO (College Republicans) and am involved in other RSOs as well. I also work at Starbucks in the Union, so I get to know many of the students on campus. Why you chose Nebraska
I have lived in Lincoln my whole life. I thought that it would be the easiest for me if I stayed here and continued to live at home. The price was also a big factor; free tuition sealed the deal for me.Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
