Why you chose your major
I choose biochemistry because I love science and want to pursue medical research after my undergraduate degree. This major fits perfectly with what I want to do and helps me learn what I need to pursue research. I picked my minor because I get to learn about the history of medicine which is super interesting to me.

Favorite and/or most impactful course
The class that has made the biggest impact on me in my class through the honors called People, Plagues, and Public Health. This class taught me about the history of medicine and learned about many plagues and how they affected society. This class helped me pick my minor because I enjoyed learning about medicine and how it impacts people.

Research or internship experience
I am currently working in two labs, one focused on plant research and the other focused on medical research. These two experiences have been great and have taught me many things from doing simple lab techniques to performing my own experiments. This has made me love the lab environment even more and excited to pursue research in my future.

Other involvement
I am involved in STAC, Students Against Cancer, which is a group that helps raise money for cancer patients in the Lincoln area. This has been such a fun group in holding events like a corn hole tournament to raise money! I am also apart of a group called Orchesis dance and I have enjoyed getting to continue dancing in college and have met so many people.

Why you chose Nebraska
I decided to come to Nebraska because of their well known biochemistry program and because it is a R1 school for research. There is also great community at Nebraska and campus is beautiful!

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
