What does graduating from Nebraska mean to you?
Graduating from The University of Nebraska, Lincoln means that I have accomplished one of my life goals, and I am ready to start a new chapter of my life. A new chapter where I will carry on the relationships and experiences that I gained at Nebraska while growing and making an impact on the world.
Transformational moments
I knew going into Nebraska as a first-year computer science major that there would be more to my undergraduate education than just code and algorithms. I made close friends with other students through making dinner trips to Cather, playing pick-up basketball at the rec center, and supporting the from Huskers, sitting in first row, at Memorial Stadium, which made my time at Nebraska an amazing experience.
These relationships, which were developed via shared experiences, sweaty basketball wins, and sporadic setbacks, helped to mold me into the better person I am today. They helped me understand the value of relationships amongst work, sacrifices amongst challenges, and the strength of different viewpoints when tackling challenging issues.
Together with my skills, experiences, and relationships that I have gained, I am proudly graduating from Nebraska and taking with me the priceless memories that I have gained from my fellow Cornhuskers. These relationships have improved my academic experience and equipped me with the knowledge and compassion I need to successfully navigate the growing tech industry.
