Why you chose your major
For psychology, I am incredibly passionate about understanding the mental development of children and am looking to build my understanding of the effects trauma has on their development! For music, I have been involved in choirs and vocal performances since a very young age, and while I am not able to expand to a career in the arts, I am thankful for the opportunities my music minor has given me!
Favorite and/or most impactful course
PSYC 350 (Research Methods and Data Analysis) has made the biggest impact on me as it has helped me improve my time management, and understand that I can push myself to exceed my own personal standards in education.
Research or internship experience
I have been a research assistant in Dr. Richard Wiener's Legal Decision Making Lab for a year now, and have been given the most incredible experience ever: growing my knowledge of research through practice and broadening my interests to law and even data analytics. I highly recommend participating in a research lab on campus if you have the opportunity.
Other involvement
I am involved in University Singers! Choir has always been extremely important to me, and being in a group like the University Singers has given me the most incredible friends and experiences that I will remember for a lifetime.
Why you chose Nebraska
My mother is an alum, so I grew up attending football games and visiting campus. It feels like a home away from home!
Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
