CAS Research Impact and Enhancement Grants

The CAS Research Impact and Enhancement Grant supports faculty in elevating the quality, visibility, and impact of their research and creative work. This program helps scholars advance projects that enhance their research trajectory, expand the reach of their scholarship, and strengthen the national and international reputation of CAS research.

CAS Research Collaboration Development Grants

The CAS Research Collaboration Development Grant supports faculty in building, strengthening, and sustaining productive research partnerships. This program provides resources for collaborative activities that go beyond typical conference interactions, including writing retreats with co-authors, hosting visiting scholars, organizing small collaborative workshops, and creating the infrastructure needed for ongoing research partnerships. This grant helps scholars expand their research capacity, produce high-impact collaborative scholarship, and build lasting professional networks that enhance the visibility and reach of CAS research.

CAS Research Travel Awards

The CAS Research Travel Award supports faculty travel that significantly advances research visibility, fosters important collaborations, or enhances the impact of CAS scholarship. This program prioritizes high-impact travel activities that go beyond standard conference attendance, including international research presentations, organizing scholarly meetings, initiating and advancing research partnerships, and conducting essential research activities.

Instructional Improvement Fund

Gives incentives for planning and implementing significant undergraduate instructional improvement projects addressing one of six specified objectives. These include developing ambitious plans that would assist a program in keeping students enrolled as majors or graduating more students in 4 years, addressing barriers to student achievement through specific instructional or curricular enhancements, reducing achievement gaps in courses in your department/program, addressing barriers to students' academic achievement by improving services offered through an established academic resource/support center, or other projects to improve instructional achievement.
