Why you chose your major
I always loved reading and writing growing up and I knew it was something I would never grow out of, and I also knew it would contribute a lot to my future career. I chose a criminal justice minor because I really enjoy learning about the different aspects of our criminal justice system, and it was also something I knew would help me in my future career.
Favorite and/or most impactful course
I had a young adult literature class that really made me realize I was where I was supposed to be. As we would discuss books and the meaning behind them I always felt like I had something to say and felt included, and that is such an important feeling in your major.
Research or internship experience
I got the opportunity my senior year of high school to intern with a lawyer, and that really made me realize that I wanted to go into law. Sine then I’ve had the opportunity to go to court and watch cases unfold, as well as shadowing county attorneys here in Lincoln.
Other involvement
I currently serve as the Vice President of New Member Education for my sorority Alpha Chi Omega
Why you chose Nebraska
I always grew up coming to husker games and being a part of the husker family, so it always felt right that this is where I would pursue my college academics!
Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
