Dawne Curry, history and ethnic studies, will conduct a seminar at the University of Ghana as part of the Fulbright Scholar Program’s Africa Regional Travel Program. The Institute of African Studies in Accra will host Curry. Curry is a 2017-2018 Fulbright Scholar at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, where she is researching women’s roles in the country’s political systems.

A. Rajca of the Department of Chemistry received $316,735 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology for "Organic Nanoparticles for Dual MRI-Guided Therapeutic Selection and Ovarian Cancer Drug Delivery."

S. Elbaum, J. Bradley, C. Detweiler, and B. Duncan of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering received $344,649 from National Science Foundation for "REU Site: Undergraduate Research Opportunities in Unmanned Systems Foundations and Applications."

They also received $616,286 from the National Strategic Research Institute for "COTS Autonomous Tracking and Indicating Prototype."
