Jocelyn Bosley, assistant director for education and outreach at the Materials Research Science and Engineering Center in the Department of Physics, has been named an inaugural IF/THEN Ambassador by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Launched in March, IF/THEN is a national initiative seeking to support women in STEM by empowering those in the field to inspire the next generation.

Colton Watts, doctoral student in biological sciences, received a 2019-2020 Presidential Graduate Fellowship from the University of Nebraska. The prestigious fellowships are awarded to a select group of NU graduate students each year on the basis of high academic performance and personal accomplishment. Fellows receive an annual stipend made available through the University of Nebraska Foundation that allows them to pursue their studies full-time.
