Eight education abroad programs led by CAS faculty available in 2024

Experience the world this spring while enhancing your College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) degree, skills, and resume! Participate in study, internships, or service learning abroad for a week, month, term, or academic year. There are unique programs in over 70 countries, and the college's Global Experiences Coordinator will help you find a great fit for your academic, personal, and professional goals as well as your budget.

CAS is offering nine different faculty-led abroad programs in 2024. Join other CAS students and earn course credit while traveling all over the globe – Seoul, South Korea, to Ischia, Italy. The Global Experiences Coordinator will ensure that your credit transfers to your degree and contributes to your desired skillset or resume, and you can work with your academic advisor so that the timing and coursework of your abroad program align with your overall degree plan.

What is the application deadline?
The deadline to apply for all summer programs is February 15.

Where can I find more information about education abroad?
Register for a quick Huskers Abroad 101: Getting Started info session to learn program and experience types and the steps to take to plan your global experiences. The next step is to attend Huskers Abroad 202: Funding Your Experience to learn how to finance your experience. Scholarships, federal aid, deadlines, timelines, and other steps you should take when considering how to pay for your program will be discussed.

What is the CAS Signature Program?
A CAS Signature Program is a program with an established relationship with UNL Education Abroad that may offer more opportunities to better fit your desired location, degree-applicable coursework, cost, and student experience. These programs are typically a semester or academic year in length.

What is the connection between the college's faculty-led programs and the Global Experiences office?
The trips are a part of and administered through the Global Experiences Program.
