Eight selected for new faculty leadership program

The Executive Vice Chancellor’s office has selected eight Arts and Sciences faculty to participate in the new Faculty Leadership in Academia: From Inspiration to Reality program.

The FLAIR program provides professional development for University of Nebraska–Lincoln faculty who are considering a leadership role or are in their first leadership position and considering continuing on a leadership path. Participants will focus on learning about and preparing for potential leadership opportunities in campus administration, faculty governance, professional societies, research and academics.

Arts and Sciences members of the 28-person inaugural cohort are:

  • Audrey Atkin, associate professor, biological sciences
  • Christina Falci, associate professor, sociology
  • Sarah Gervais, associate professor, psychology
  • Andrew Jewell, professor of digital projects, digital initiatives
  • Oleh Khalimonchuk, associate professor, biochemistry
  • Petronela Radu, professor, math
  • Clinton Rowe, professor, Earth and atmospheric sciences
  • Marilyne Stains, associate professor, chemistry
